Following an absence of two years due to the pandemic, the club once again organised a writing competition in April 2023 for school children aged 7 to 16. Two primary schools and three high schools participated: Talbot, Roundhay Primary, Roundhay High School and Ralph Thoresby High School. An amazing total of 183 entries were submitted, from which one winner in each category was selected, along with numerous runners up, all receiving book tokens..
The winner in the senior category was Meghan Graham, of Ralph Thoresby High School. The picture shows President Raghu Das presenting a certificate to Meghan, whose piece was subsequently selected by Rotary District 1040 to go forward to the national final. Well done, Meghan
