A message from our Club President John Hartley
I have been associated with Rotary for more than 40 years and have seen many changes during that time. The club’s main fundraising event is the North Leeds Charity Beer Festival. It was the idea of one of our members who persuaded the rest of the club to help organise the event. It was a great success and is now an annual fixture on our calendar. We recently passed the milestone of £100,000 raised for charity.
As you can see from the pictures on our website our membership is made up of people from many different backgrounds which provides a broad range of skills when arranging events. We raise money for many different charities both locally and internationally. We also volunteer our time with a wide range of good causes. The Rotary motto is “Service above self”
We also aim to have a good time and fellowship is a very important part of membership. If you feel like you want to join Rotary you can attend meetings with no obligation. We have speakers on a wide range of topics. Please use the contact details on the website if you would like to come along
We meet for a meal at 7:30pm on a Monday evening at Leeds Golf Club. This is followed by either a speaker or a discussions to organise future events or which charities we should support.
We look forward to welcoming potential members to the Rotary family.
