During the last bank holiday weekend commencing Friday 25 August, Past President David Hawkin undertook the challenge of walking the 83 miles of Hadrian’s Wall. He completed the walk in four days, averaging 22 miles a day and raised valuable funds for the club’s charity fund during the process. Commenting on his experience, David said, ‘It was a fantastic experience that he would remember for a very long time. It was raining hard for most of the time on day 3 of the walk, but I kept going knowing that I need only one more day to complete the challenge’. David is an avid trekker who seeks out interesting and challenging terrains
